Arindam: -Hello viewers. Today, you are watching the 11th episode of our program “Foods”. In this episode, as you can see we have just landed at the N’djamena city airport. We are going to stay at the Kempinski hotel, where Mr. Llorca will cook some foods in front of our camera. So, you people just follow me.

***************

Llorca: -Welcome to Chad, my dear friend. So, I hope that till now, you have not faced any problem, while coming here.

Sain Director:- No, not at all. But, you promised something to me. Do you remember that?

Llorca: -Ya ya, sure! Today, I will cook a dish on fish. Let us start the program now.

Arindam: -Wow, you people also like to eat fishes. That is really great.

Llorca:- But these are dried fishes. The name of these fishes is Capitaine fish.

Arindam: -But, there is no sea or ocean here. From where do you get these fishes?

Llorca: -These are the famous fishes of our Lake Chad.

Arindam:- Ok, please tell us about the ingredients that you have taken.

Llorca:-6 small pieces of dried Capitaine fish, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, half spoon chili powder, half teaspoon butter, 1 tea cup of mustard oil, half cup of mustard seeds and half spoon of salt.

Arindam: -Tell me one thing, for how many days, have you dried these fish pieces?

Llorca:- Well, we have kept those pieces under the sun for at least 3 days. The smell of these dried fishes is really good, you see. Now, I will mix the fish pieces with the butter and chili powder. Then just put those fishes in the hot pan for 2 minutes. Now, pour the mustard oil, mustard seeds, turmeric powder and salt.

Arindam:- So, it is basically a fish fry.

Llorca: -But, it is of different type. We will fry it till it becomes dark brown in color and crispy in nature. The taste of the dried Capitaine fish fry is such that, if you add some butter to it, it adds a different flavor altogether. Now. Let me serve it in a plate with some salads. This is one of the special fish dishes in Chad.

Arindam:- Wow, the taste is really awesome. But, the size of these fish pieces is very big.

Llorca: -of course, why not; after all these fishes enters the lakes of Central Africa from River Nile only. Let me tell you one thing that, the Capitaine fishes of Lake Victoria are the tastier ones. Lake Victoria is in Uganda.

Arindam: -Hmm... I think; I should visit Uganda also. Anyway, Mr. Llorca thanks a lot for your time with us. Bye.
